The Global Human Rights Organization – United States / Sulaymaniyah has always stood in solidarity with the oppressed and has remained steadfast in supporting the rightful demands of the people. The ongoing strike, which has now lasted fifteen days, is a reflection of the deep frustration caused by injustice and economic hardship.
Today, 11/2/2025, marked a historic moment at the Tent of Glory in Sulaymaniyah, where civil society organizations, intellectuals, religious scholars, and the city’s resilient people gathered to voice their unwavering support for the strikers. Their message was clear: while resistance is honorable, the well-being of those who have sacrificed so much must also be protected.
The people of Sulaymaniyah have always been pioneers in thought, struggle, and resilience. Their ability to navigate through crises and find solutions within their own strength has been evident throughout history. The decision to break the strike was not one of surrender but of strategic perseverance—ensuring that the movement for justice continues in different ways.
The support from the people of Sulaymaniyah has been a beacon of hope. The unity demonstrated during these difficult times is a testament to the city’s spirit of resistance and determination. No force can silence a people who stand together for their rights.
Long live freedom! Long live dignity! Long live the struggle for justice!
We express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who stood watch at the Tent of Glory, the dedicated teachers who refused to be silenced, the civil society organizations that never wavered, and the intellectuals and researchers who lent their voices to the cause. Your courage has made history.
